Abstract (EN)
In this study, we aimed to compare bonded and welded joints with experimental and numerical studies. We used two polymers during this study. It was aimed that to investigate bonded and welded joints of these polymers with each other and mutually. Firstly, we produced polymer materials with plastic injenction to use in this project. After that, materials was machined to get suitable dimensions. The materials which were machined, were joined by using heated tool welding and solvent bonding. The materials which were joined, were subjected to tension test for measuring of their strength. Taguchi method was used for muchness of experiment numbers in heated tool welding. The experiment results which were making with Taguchi method, were analyzed with Minitab 16 software. After that, optimum welding parameters and impact ratios of parameters were revealed. The most effective parameter of ABS-ABS welded joints is temperature, the most effective parameter of SAN-SAN and ABS-SAN welded joint is welding distance. In the numerical studies, we used finite element analysis program(ANSYS) to obtain strength results of both bonding and welded joints.
