Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of the primary pre-service teachers about using creative drama method in their teaching practices in the official schools of the Ministry of National Education and to offer solutions to the difficulties that face when using this method. The study group of the research is composed of the 4th grade teaching practices course students studying in the fall semester of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Faculty of Education. Department of Elementary Teacher Education, Department of Basic Education. This research is a qualitative study. In this study, personal interview technique in which the opinions of prospective teachers were considered was used as a data collection tool and the content analysis and descriptive analysis were used in the analysis of qualitative data. As a result of the study, it was observed that creative drama method contributed positively to the internship practices of the primary prospective teachers. In addition, thanks to this method, pre-service teachers stated that they lost their anxiety, expressed themselves better and their communication skills improved in teaching practices at schools. The pre-service teachers pointed out that the difficulties they faced were the lack of drama classrooms in schools, the time problem in the implementation of the activities, the disciplinary problems in the practice of group activities and the inadequacy of the technological equipment in the schools. Recommendations are given accordance with the results. Key Words: Teaching practices, pre-service teacher, creative drama
