Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of creative drama on speaking English and students? attitudes towards speaking EnglishResearch is designed according to experimental model with pre and post test control group. Research sample composed of students from a Anatolian High School in Bolu. Experiment and control groups are determined impartially.In order to determine whether there were any remarkable in the speaking english level and students? attitudes towards speaking English among the students , speaking test and attitude test were applied before and after the unit.The unit period continued for four weeks.In the statistical analysis of the collected data the SPSS statistics program was used and in addition to the primary statistical calculations, in order to determine the remarkable differences between the groups, an independent t-test and a paired ?samples t-test were applied.In all the research the significance level was accepted as 0.05.All the application were made by the researcher. The advised methods and techniques in the course book were applied by the teacher to the students of control group. Unlike the control group, in addition to the the methods and techniques recommended, drama activities were also applied to the experiment group.As the practice space spacious place were chosen for experiment group. Classroom enverimont was used for control group.According to the acquired data, as a result of the final speaking test and attitude scale taken by both the experiment and control groups, some significant differences positive on the part of the experiment group were noted.Accordingly, it can be claimed that in comparison with the traditional methods drama is more influential.Key Words: Creative Drama, Attitudes, Speaking English
