Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of creative writing teaching with creative drama on creative writing skills and creative writing attitude in 7th grade Turkish teaching. The research was conducted in a half-experimental design in a combined model using qualitative and quantitative research models. The quantitative data of the research is obtained by the scale of evaluating creative writing products, and the attitude towards writing; and qualitative data were obtained by carrying out focus group interview. The study group consisted of 40 students studying at 7th grade at a private secondary school in a province in the Western Black Sea Region. It is applied teaching creative writing with creative drama technique in in the experimental group and it is applied conventional instruction at the school for teaching writing in the control group. This experimental process took place in 8 weeks in the experimental and control groups after 2 weeks of creative drama practice in the experimental group,the quantitative data collected before and after this process were analyzed by parametric tests since the score distribution was normal;at the end of the process, the data obtained from the experimental group by carrying out focus group interview were analyzed by content analysis. According to the results of the research, creative writing and creative writing teaching with the existing practices in the school increases the creative writing skills, while in the control group,in which the existing practice at the school is maintained wasn't observed any positive development on the writing attitudes of the students, the writing attitude of the experimental group students improved ; creative writing teaching which is performed with creative drama is more effective on creative writing skills and developing attitudes towards writing than the existing practice in the school ; According to the students' opinions,creative drama has an effect on increase in the speed of writing ,the development of imagination,taking enjoyable lessons,gaining different perspectives,progressing,increasing socialization,facilitating punctuation and getting better grades. Students' views focus on continuing the course with creative drama At the end of the research,aimed at the application, it is suggested to add activities guiding creative drama in the textbooks,ensure teachers have creative drama education,develope creative writing skills and use creative drama technically in all the courses. Suggestions aimed at research it is suggested to make experimental studies on different groups,investigate the effectiveness of creative drama in other linguistic areas of Turkish course,make experimental research related to working skills with groups,increase in the studies about the effect of creative writing on the writing attitude.
