Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between creative personality traits and prosocial behaviors and the mediating role of the desire to be liked in this relationship. At the same time, the research also examined whether creative personality traits, prosocial behaviors and desire to be liked differ according to sociodemographic variables. The study group of the research was carried out with a total of 394 participants, 267 women and 127 men, consisting of university students. Data on creative personality traits were collected with the "Creative Personality Traits Scale", data on prosocial behaviors were collected with the "Adult Prosociality Scale", and data on the desire to be liked were collected with the "Desire to be Liked Scale". Data were collected by online survey method via Google Form. Data analysis was done with SPSS 25.0 package program. Independent sample t-test, Pearson correlation analysis and Regression analysis were used in the analysis of the data. Regression analyzes were performed using the Hayes macro (version 3.5.2) in SPSS. In line with the results of the analysis of the research, it has been revealed that the desire to be liked in university students does not have a mediating role in the relationship between creative personality traits and prosocial behaviors. While the creative personality traits of university students are associated with prosocial behaviors, university students' desire to be liked does not have a significant role in this relationship. Creative personality traits, prosociality and desire to be liked scores were found to differ in terms of sociodemographic variables in the study. The findings of the study are thought to be an important source for the literature and studies to be carried out to increase prosocial behaviors.
