Post-marital maintenance within the scope of jurisdictional decisions in Turkish and Swiss Law

In this study, post-marital maintenance, which is in the Turkish Civil Code Art. 175, was examined together with views in the doctrine and contemporary jurisdictional decisions. Particularly in contradictive issues, comparisons were made with the decree ZGB art. 125. In this context, poverty concept, the objective and principles of post-marital maintenance, and its difference from similar concerns, its elements, rudiments regarding determination of post-marital maintenance, and its termination conditions were handled. Besides, permanent maintenance payments regulation was discussed and suggestions were made for it, together with the views in the discipline, jurisdictional decisions and parliamentary research commission reports.
