Abstract (EN)
Solid waste collection and disposal are severe problems among metropolitan cities due to their social, economic, cultural, and environmental cosmopolitan structures. To reveal an environmentally and socially effective sorting-collection and recycling and disposal method, a holistic approach to the selection of solid waste disposal method includes the amounts of recycled packaging material, resource consumptions, related emissions, working conditions, social acceptability human rights should be analyzed and realized. Within the thesis's scope, existing and alternative solid waste management systems were examined and compared in terms of global, environmental, and human impacts. The research at our disposal was mainly based on long-term field observation, data collection, and analysis of existing systems. After the current system analysis, an alternative scenario for the research area was also determined. He would identify three strategies for analyzing and comparing their effects: direct landfilling of solid waste in the entire municipality, natural storage of solid waste after recycling 35% following the target 23 plan, and finally incineration of all solid waste materials. Both environmental impacts of the scenarios were determined using the Life Cycle Assessment methodology. The study results showed that direct storage and storage after recyclable waste decomposition are more effective in the negative impact of environmental effects such as global warming and photochemical oxidation potential. On the other hand, the scenario of incineration of all solid wastes was more disadvantageous in terms of environmental effects such as acidification, eutrophication, and ozone layer effects. As a result, establishing integrated systems by assessing suitability for localization will likely be the most optimal solid waste management system.
