Özet (EN)

Laser beam welding, laser beam-MIG arc welding hybrid process, submerged arc welding,high frequency contact welding methods are using frequently to fabricate tubes. But the mostcommon method is high frequency induction welding method which fabricate to tubes fromlongitudinally welding pipes.In this thesis work, tubes fabricating methods, tubes features and sheet metal band widtheffect on fabricating tubes have been investigated. In the first chapter, steel pipe and tubesector in Türkiye were explained. In the second chapter fabricating tubes methods wereexplained. In the third chapter, tube?s materials and technical delivery conditions, in thefourth chapter, high frequency pipe and tube welding, in the fifth chapter, high frequency pipeand tube welding parameters, in the sixth chapter, the faults in the high frequency pipe andtube welding processes, in the seventh chapter, slitting strip and estimating strip width wereexplained.In the experimental works, related to BS 6363 technical specification, dimensions of50x50x4,8 mm tubes produced from strip width with acceptable difference, at a MTM electricwelded tube production unit.
