Abstract (EN)
Because furniture is not a fast consumer product, purchasing decisions include what furniture to buy and how long it will take to make a purchasing decision. At this point, there are different selection criteria and the color is one of them. This study was carried out with the aim of determining the color preferences of consumers in furniture used in residential bedrooms. Within the scope of the research, the effects of the color on person were examined and detailed in terms of the types and tones of the coatings used in the bedroom furniture. In the determination of color preferences, a questionnaire was applied to 110 people selected by coincidence sampling method in the presence of color charts containing wood colors and plain colors, and data were analyzed statistically. The research data reveal the connection of the color preferences of the people in the bedroom furniture to the demographic characteristics. It is foreseen that the study data has an intrinsic value that can shed light on the marketing strategies of the bedroom furniture manufacturing firms.
