Abstract (EN)

4ABSTRACTThis study aims to explore the opinions of teachers whoare working in primary schools and boarding schools abouttheir burnout level. Also, this study intends to determine theeffects of burnout on teaching profession. At the same time,the effect of teachers? personal characteristics on theiropinions about burnout that they feel in is determined.In this study, the concepts that constitute a fundamental approach about burnoutare examined. These concepts are; structure and aspects of burnout andcharacteristics of burnout. This descriptive study?s population is determined as,teachers who are working in primary and boarding schools in Çanakkale province.The data is gathered by a personal questionnaire which was developed by heresearcher and Maslach Burnout Inventory which was administered to 229 teachers.Data was analysed by SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) by calculatingfrequency, percentage, and by using t-test, One Way Anova and Scheffe tests.
