Abstract (EN)
Despite the apparently normal coronary angiographic anatomy, opaque material in the slow progression of coronary arteries is called the slow coronary flow(SCF). It is thought to have a prevalence of 3%. Imbalance between vasodilator and vasoconstrictor factors or coronary artery disease (CAD) may be considered in pathogenesis of coronary slow flow. Other hypotheses in the pathogenesis of coronary slow flow involved vessel dysfunction, platelet dysfunction and inflammation. Visfatin and omentin known to be effective in inflammation and endothelial injury. Visfatinin known as pro-inflammatory but omentin serum levels was low in inflammatory processes. However, these adipocytokines relations with slow coronary flow has not been investigated. We aimed to investigate the relationship between serum levels of omentin and visfatin and SCF. In the study were included slow coronary flow (n = 45) and normal coronary flow (n = 35) subjects, who applied to angiograph in the catheterization laboratory of Duzce University. In our study, visfatin levels were significantly increased in patients with SCF group (p <0.001). The levels of omentin were lower in SCF group than control group. But it was not statistically significant. These molecules should be investigated in larger groups to use of screening and detection of SCF and CAD.
