Özet (EN)

Great differences became prominent throughut the history. These differences brought about discrimination in ancient times. These situations have been observed especially in human behaviour. However human beings who understand each other have been accustomed to live together by integrating these differences day by day and developed many methods to involve the differences in to life by integrating education. All children vary in physical characteristics and learning capabilities. Some of them are shorter then the others, some of them are longer than the others, some of them learn quickly, some of them understand later. However, learning difficulties is seen on some of the children because of the certain types of obstacles. This group of children are called the children who need special education. After emerging such kind of differences individualized education programs came up. First studies about these programs began before 1880 and these programs continue developing (Akçamete, 2006, s. 46,47 ). Nowadays particular attention is drawn to the pervasive developmental disorder among these differences. This study has been developed to evaluate the attention of the children who shows pervasive developmental disorder. 162 children who have the ages of the ranging between 24 and 300 months, have been participated to this study, to test the affectiveness of the attention of the rating of the children. The children who have been selected for this study are from 5 private and one public school and the children have been selected afte their parents? permission. Turkish version of childrens?attention evaluating rating scale (ÇDDÖ- TV) has been applied to the children who have got pervasive developmental properties for three months. As a result of the research, in order to examine the attention total score and starting total score, independent group test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), non-parametric Kruskal Wallis-H test, non parametric Mann Whitney-U test have been used. When the test results are observed according to the pervasive developmental attention evaluation rating, attention and level of start is seen as low in general. Key words: Pervasive developmental disorder, autism, asperge sydrome, rett syndrome, a type autism, attention.
