Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine the suitable mixture ratios for high yield and quality in forage pea (Pisum arvense L.)–triticale (xTriticosecale Wittmack) mixed sowings in Afyonkarahisar ecological conditions during November 2019-May 2020 growing season. In the study, Karma 2000 triticale cultivar and Taşkent forage pea cultivar were used as plant material. In the experiment, five different mixture ratios, 100% forage pea (100%FP), 75% forage pea-25% triticale (75%FP-25%T), 50% forage pea-50% triticale (50%FP-50%T), 25% forage pea-75% triticale (25%FP-75%T) and 100% triticale (100%T), were investigated as treatments. Field trial was established in a randomized complete block design with three replications. In the experiment, the plants were mowed at pod-setting stage of forage pea and milk maturity stage of triticale grains. Plant height measurements were made just before cutting. After cutting, botanical composition (%), green forage yield (kg/da), dry matter ratio (%), dry matter yield (kg/da), crude ash, acid detergent fibre (ADF), neutral detergent fibre (NDF) and crude protein ratios (%) and crude protein yield (kg/da) were determined. The results of the study revealed that 75% forage pea-25% triticale (75%FP-25%T) mixture ratio was the most suitable mixture ratio, among the ratios investigated in this study, for high forage yield and quality in forage pea-triticale mixed sowings in Afyonkarahisar ecological conditions.
