Özet (EN)
The study was conducted to determine forage yield and forage quality traits of forage pea (Pisum sativum ssp. arvense L.) and some creal species with winter sowing during the 2023–2024 growing season. The field trial of the research was established according to the Randomized Block Experimental Design with three replications in the Dicle University Bismil Vocational School Research Area, Diyarbakır, Turkey. Statistically highly significant (P<0.01) differences were found between the treatments in terms of the examined traits in the study. The means of the examined traits in the study varied between the treatments as follows; plant height 85.00 - 142.00 cm, fresh forage yield 2005.6 - 3772.2 kg/da, dry forage yield 531.36 - 971.92 kg/da, crude protein (CP) rate 10.14 - 25.44%, acid detergent insoluble protein (ADP) rate 0.37-0.67%, acid detergent insoluble fiber (ADF) rate 27.15-39.19%, digestible dry matter (DDM) rate 27.15 - 39.19%, neutral detergent insoluble fiber (NDF) rate 34.97 - 60.17%, dry matter intake (DMI) rate 2.00% - 3.44%, metabolic energy (ME) 8.82 - 10.63 MJ/kg, relative feed value (RFV) 91.23 - 160.00, phosphorus (P) ratio is 0.39 - 0.52%, calcium (Ca) ratio is 0.36 - 1.55%, potassium (K) ratio is 2.61 - 3.08% and magnesium (Mg) ratio is 0.15 - 0.33%. In the study, the highest values in terms of CP, DDM and DMI traits were determined in the Sole Forage Pea treatment, while the lowest values for these traits were determined in the Sole Cereal Species Treatments. Additionally; the values of CP, DDM and DMI traits in mixtures of forage pea with cereal species were also found to be higher than the values of Sole Cereal Species Treatments. According to the research results; among the mixture treatments, the 70% Forage Pea + 30% Triticale mixture treatment stood out in terms of fresh and dry forage yield traits, while the 70% Forage Pea + 30% Six Row Barley mixture treatment stood out in terms of high forage quality according to RFV values.
