Effect of boric acid applications on grape yield, quality and leaf nutrient content of edict leaf collected grapevines

Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out in the Narince vineyard of TOGU Agricultural Application and Research Center in 2020-2021.In the study, the quality, yield and leaf nutrient content of Control(K), Boric Acid(BA), 3Leafing+Boric acid(3YA+BA), 5Leafing+Boric Acid(5YA+BA) applications in Narince grape variety grafted on 110R rootstock. Effects were studied. In the study; cluster weight (g), cluster width (cm), cluster length (cm), grain weight (g), grain width (mm), grain length (mm), 100 grain weight (g), pH, SÇKM, titratable acidity and the nutrient content in the leaf was examined. Leaf removal was carried out in two periods, before flowering and after flowering. Before flowering 3YA, after flowering 2YA and BA applications were made. The highest cluster length (25.983cm)3YA+BA application; highest 100 grain weight (243.13g)BA application; highest grain weight(2.9733g) 5YA+BA application; highest grain width (15.4467mm)3YA+BA application; highest grain size (16.4367mm)5YA+ BA application; the highest pH(3.67)BA application; the highest SÇKM(22.66)BA application; the highest TA(8.77)3YA+BA application; the highest N(0.74)3YA+BA application; the highest P(4.25)5YA+BA application; the highest K(8)BA application; the highest Fe(66.50)5YA+BA application; the highest Zn(29.54)K application; the highest Cu application (17,20)5YA+BA application, the highest Mn(63,36)3YA+BA application was obtained. When the effects of the applications on the cluster weight, cluster width and hardness values were examined, it was not found statistically significant. When the nutrient content of the leaves was examined as a result of BA application, it was observed that it was statistically significant in all elements (N, P, K, Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn). The positive effects of foliar boric acid application were observed when the yield, quality and leaf nutrient content were examined. Boric acid applications in Narince grape variety can be recommended to increase quality and yield.
