Abstract (EN)

In this study the water soluble aminomethylphosphine ligands(N,Nbis(hydroxymethylphosphinomethyl)aminomethyl,(CH2OH)2PCH2)2NCH3)), N,Nbis(hydroxymethylphosphinomethyl)amino-butyl,(CH2OH)2(PCH2)2NBu)) were synthesized by the formylation appropriate phosphine hydrides in the presence of formaldehyde in ethanol under nitrogen atmosphere using the Schlenk method. The water soluble Pt(II), Pd(II), Co(II), Au(I) metal complexes of the aminomethylphosphine ligands have been synthesized . All the metal complexes and the ligands have been characterized by, FT-IR, NMR (1H,13C,31P) spectroscopic and elemental analysis techniques. These complexes were tested as cytotoxic agents against human epithelial adenocarcinoma cell line A549 and antimicrobial activity were studied on some bacteries. [PdCl2(CH2OH)2PCH2)2NCH3)] complex has been shown cytotoxic effect for the applied concentration. The Au(I) metal complex has shown the best antimicrobial activity in comparison with the other metal complexes Keywords: Water Soluble Phosphine, Aminomethylphosphines, Metal Complexes,
