Abstract (EN)
It has been determined that the stiffness values of reinforced concrete bearing elements are different from the values predicted under the effect of an earthquake. For this reason, the rigidity of the cracked section is taken into consideration in the design and evaluation of the structures. Effective cross-section stiffnesses, which are taken into consideration in the design and evaluation of reinforced concrete bearing elements, are presented differently in the standards. This study, published in the TEC 2007 and 2018 TBDY regulations in Turkey, the European regulation Eurocode 8 ASC 7/16 and American regulations were discussed. In the design, an example of a residential building with a reinforced concrete frame is calculated by using the SAP2000v20 program and the equivalent earthquake load method, which is linear calculation methods, according to the 5, 10 and 14 storey situation in the first earthquake zone. forces were compared according to the four regulations mentioned. In addition, according to the soil classes specified in the regulations, the changes in the structure were examined by considering the cracked section stiffness. One of the most realistic ways to determine these stiffnesses is to use moment-curvature relationships. Although TDY 2007 partially takes this requirement into account, the other regulations in question have approved the use of fixed coefficients.
