Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, a new 4-methoxy chalcone substituted phthalonitrile derivative (2) and starting from this compound (2) metallophthalocyanines (3-6) have been prepared. Firstly, 4´-hydroxy-4-methoxychalcone compound (1) was prepared via a Claisen-Schmidt type condensation, from 4-methoxybenzaldehyde with 4-hydroxyacetophenone, using KOH in ethanol. Synthesized chalcone compound (1) by reaction with 4-nitrophthalonitrile in the presence of K2CO3 in dry DMF under a nitrogen atmosphere, a new 4-methoxy chalcone substituted phthalonitrile compound (2) was obtained. Then, metallophthalocyanines (3-6) were synthesized by the cyclization reaction of chalcone substituted phthalonitrile compound (2) with DBU in the presence of DMF by using dry metal salts (Zn(II), Ni(II), Co(II) and Cu(II) acetatetes), respectively using "solid-state heating" method. After purification, synthesized compounds have been characterized with FT-IR, UV-Vis and NMR spectroscopy.
