Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to show that effects of problem solving skills in the marriage on martial satisfaction and subjective well being depending on duration of the marriage. Besides, problem solving skill level, marital satisfaction, subjective well being was observed in terms of some demographic variables. 100 married people who live in İstanbul, willing to help and had beed choosen randomly attended to the study. Marital satisfaction scale, subjective well being scale, problem solving skill in the marriage scale had beed used for collecting data for the study. The datas of study had been analized by SPSS 20.0 program. According to the results of the assesment and analysis, it was found that newly married people's marriage satisfaction was higher than long time married people's. Thereby one of the main hypothesis was supported. Besides, it was found that there was a significiant connection among problem solving in marriage, age and education level when it was observed relationship between subjective well being and various variables, it was found that there was relationship among subjective well being, the number of children and age variables.
