New communication technologies and socialization : Example province of Elaziğ

The use of new communication technologies has contemporarily become widespread. In parallel with this, in this study, it has been aimed to clarify whether the amount of time spent on the internet, one of the newest communication technologies, depends on the level of sociality and solitude(singularity) of the real persons.With the intention of contribution to these discussions, 400 hundred people have been administered a questioner in the city of Elazığ, and the results have been analyzed and interpreted. Additionally, phenomenon of sociality and solitude in new communication technologies has been examined from a conceptual point of view. In this study, it has been concluded that with the advancement in communication technology from past to present, the concept of sociality, keeping an indispensably important ground in one?s life, maintains its existence in virtual environment, and that individuals? state of sociality and solitude(singularity) in real life have no effect on their using social networks (social media networks) Key Words: new communication technologies, socializing, solitude, internet
