Abstract (EN)

With comfort, security and energy saving concepts coming into prominence in the recent years, home automation systems have also made progress. In parallel with these developments, studies have concentrated on the innovative approaches that facilitate people's lives. According to the literature reviews, in parallel with the development of wireless sensors, new communication techniques (Wi-Fi, RFID, Bluetooth, etc.) and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies particularly, the studies for the remote control of home automation systems and adding the ability to make decisions based on possible scenarios are being pursued at a fast pace. According to these scenarios, home automation systems have been developed, providing control over the air conditioning, lighting, security and similar systems and remote monitoring of the house. Using of different sections such as Central Control Unit, Room Control Unit, sensors and Web Interface in the new systems developed, allowed the design to be more optional. In this thesis a new home automation system has been designed, which can be controlled remotely with IoT technologies and which is economical, modular and contains a senior'sroom. A virtual house has been created and a new scenario has been prepared to realize this design. Attention was shown for the system to be economical, modular and low-consumption, and a suitable Web Interface has been created to provide remote control.
