Abstract (EN)

Social Sharing Networks and Internet Technologies, which have influenced many aspects of humanity and social life, as well as have given a new direction to Social Movements. Women's movements, feminism and women's associations were also influenced by this process. This study has focused on the effects of social sharing networks and internet technologies in Turkey on associations and digital activism with in dimension of women's movements in Turkey. In this context, interviews were conducted with 4 women's associations and 7 Feminist Digital Activist Organizations. In the interviews, Feminist Digital Activists and associations were asked how they describe themselves, their initial stages of movement, their vision and areas of activity, how and for what purpose they used Social Sharing Networks, and the way they view social sharing networks. The answers of the associations and Feminist Digital Activists were analyzed by comparative method. As a result, it has been found that Social Sharing Networks are used for the purposes of communicating with members / supporters, reaching out to more people, announcing activities and corporate news, which are mostly used by Facebook and its own Web sites from Social Sharing Networks. It has been understood that Feminist Digital Activists seem to have more positive implications for Social Sharing Networks, on the other hand associations are more cautious about Social Sharing Networks. As a result, the contribution of the Social Sharing Networks to the women's movement is limited due to the Internet inequality in Turkey.
