Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to examine the relationship between the occurrence and spread of hospital acquired infection and level of burnout and stress of nurses in neonatal intensive care unite. In this context, a repetitive survey was conducted. In the questionnaire, besides the questions that determine the demographic variables of nurses working in three hospitals in Hargiesa, "Job Stress Scale" and "Burnout Scale"measurements was conducted. In addition, questions measuring the behavior of nurses towards medical waste management were included. And it was followed up whether the babies the nurses looked after during the study had nosocomial infections. As a result; the average stress and burnout of the nurses were found to be moderate. furthermore, it was observed that high level of nurse burnout caused hospital infection diagnosis, and high level of nurse stress caused the diagnosis of more than one infection in neonates.When the age, marital status, other demographic variables of the nurses in the three hospitals were examined, differences were found in burnout, stress scales, and their sub-dimensions, in different measurements.
