Özet (EN)
As a result of rising population of the World and inability of the available resources, needs also increase in variety; the human being, willing to have "better", have already started to seek new energy resources. Fossil fuels which produce more energy by being burned have damaged not only the nature but also the health of the living creatures, therefore these harmful effects have surpassed their benefits. As the fossil fuels have been consumed for the sake of "the evolution of the human beings", natural environment has also been altered by their waste. In this study, the general information was given about the renewable energy resources, then renewable energies were explained in terms of negative and positive ways. The policies of World countries and Turkey related to energy sources were discussed. Apart from that, both the potential of each renewable energy source and its evaluation level are explained and eventually the legislation on the renewable energy sources is emphasized. In the study; Turkey and the EU's approaches on renewable energy sources are analysed as comparatively; in this basic, the reflection of Turkey's performance from the past and today to the future and different political solutions are searched. Key Words: 1.Renewable energy, 2.Fossil Fuels, 3.Turkey's energy policies, 4.European Union
