Abstract (EN)
Nature and environment are a phenomenon that can renew itself without an artificial effect from the outside. However, human beings are using the nature wildly because of their increasing needs and do not have a chance to renew themselves. The carbon footprint is the most important indicator of this grueling use. The magnitude of the natural damage is proportional to the size of the carbon footprint. In this study, a carbon footprint account based on energy consumption of an average residence in Turkey has been modeled and the importance of reducing the footprint of renewable energy sources by calculating carbon footprint has been examined. When the carbon footprint account is made, heating, have been calculated and the extent to which this consumption can be reduced with the renewable energy source has been examined.
