Abstract (EN)

In this study, teachers' opinions about 5th grade social studies curriculum which started to be implemented as of 2018 were examined. The reason for this study is lack of studies on Social Studies teachers for updating curriculum yet. Such as thesis has been written by being inspired of Ebru ERKÖSE's study in 2007 which "evaluation of updating 6. Grade Social Studies syllabus according to teachers opinions: The Sample of Sakarya City". For the study, Social Studies teachers in Turkey are determined as the working group. By Turkey Social Studies Coterie Facebook Page, the survey has been carried out interactively, the datas have been collected by reaching 215 Social Studies teachers. After the datas have been collected, they have been analyzed at the program SPSS 22. As a result of the analysis, it has been accured a medium level outcome in terms of finding about the opinions related to overall the program that is predicted by Social Studies teachers opinions updating 5. grade Social Studies syllabus and it has been concluded that there is no considerable diferentiation among 4 aspects. It has been reached a considerable differentiation level in terms of "using of library with educational purpase variable" in the t test finding according to Social Studies teachers opinions about earnings, content, learning - teaching process and test status which is predicted updating Social Studies syllabus. It also hasn't been reached any considerable differentiation in "using of internet with educational purpose in the school which teachers work according to Social Studies teachers opinions about earnings, content, learning - teaching process and test status which is predicted updating Social Studies syllabus. It also hasn't been reached any considerable differentiation in the F test finding showing differences in terms of "age variable" according to Social Studies teachers opinions about earnings, content, learning - teaching process and test status which is predicted updating Social Studies syllabus. It also hasn't been reached any considerable differentiation in the F test finding in terms of "the school which they are graduated from variable" according to Social Studies teachers opinions about earnings, content, learning - teaching process and test status which is predicted updating Social Studies syllabus. It also hasn't been reached any considerable differentiation in the F test finding in terms of proffessional seniority according to Social Studies teachers opinions about earnings, content, learning - teaching process and test status which is predicted updating Social Studies syllabus. As a consequence it also hasn't been reached any meaningful differentiation in the F test findings in terms of education level variable according to Social Studies teachers opinions about earnings, content, learning - teaching process and test status which is predicted updating Social Studies syllabus. However this study can be applied for other grades. Moreover if a different survey is developed, it can be observed how the consequences will progress.
