District of Yenişehir-i Thessaly: 1454-1570

In this study, it is handled Yenişehir-i Thessaly (Larissa) which located in the Central Greece, at the Ottoman classic period. These study, which prepared using a variety of book and articles expect of Tahrir books, are examined the city's historical, geographical and demographical structure, also its economy and foundations in the classic period. In this context, in the first part of the study, it was discussed Yenişehir's geography, its pre-Ottoman situation, the conquest of Thessaly by the Ottamans and Evrenos Bey, who performed important conquests in this region. In the second part, it was tried to explain about Yenişehir's population, neighborhoods, economy, and administrative organization. In the third and the last part, it was discussed architectural monuments and foundations which are the tools in the development of Yenişehir protect the Turkish and Muslim identity and in the spread of these culture. In the light of the examined resources, while the change of the city's social, economic and culturel stucture were introduced in the classic period, the text, tables and graphs were made more understandable.
