Abstract (EN)
The civil war in Syria as an extension of the Arab Spring brought a mass migration movement with itself. With the war launched, part of the Syrians' immigration to Turkey in 2011 reached to 3.4 million people in 8 years. This study aims to inquire whether the local media of Hatay- which is among the first cities that the Syrians migrated and started to live- covers these immigrants in their media organs or not, and if so, how they are included and defined; and the reason and the manner of these publications/broadcasts as well as the news sources.
