Özet (EN)

This research aims to examine the relationship between the strategic planning perceptions of employees working in local governments and their evaluations of strategic planning practices. As part of the study, a survey was conducted with 425 employees from various regions of Turkey working in local governments. The research delves into the relationship between the perception of strategic planning and the evaluation of strategic planning practices, focusing on how these perceptions differ based on demographic characteristics such as age, gender, education level, marital status, and tenure, as well as whether the employees have received training in strategic planning. The findings of the study revealed significant relationships between the perception of strategic planning and its impact on the evaluation of strategic planning practices. These relationships were found to vary according to demographic characteristics such as age, tenure within the institution, and overall work experience. The results highlight the importance of considering employees' perceptions and demographic characteristics to enhance the effectiveness of strategic planning processes in local governments. This study provides significant contributions to the literature, addressing a gap in this field, and offers valuable guidance for the more effective implementation of strategic planning in local governments.
