The impact of residential foreigners on the local economy: The case of Alanya

Since 1960-1970 years in the Alanya region, it has been aimed to examine the transformation of an underdeveloped district into a tourism center, the decisions of the foreigners to settle in the region and the economic effects of the settlement after the settlement. These years of Alanya with its demand for a permanent settlement, since most immigration in the region ranks first and potentials and foreign visitors that the blending and in Turkey and in migration for tourist coastline with foreign resident history has an important place. Quantitative research method was used in the research and survey method was used with ease. The survey, conducted between October 2017 and March 2018, includes the participants' demographic information, ownership status, business information, economic situation and expenditure proposals. However, in the case of survey participants expensive life in Turkey on doing what they like foreigners in Turkey and Turkey are two propositions that have a positive impact. Implementation was carried out through non-governmental organizations for Alanya Municipality and resident foreigners. Analysis of the surveys reveals that the economic contributions of foreign settlements to the Alanya city are positive in the light of the findings. The economic contributions of resident foreigners to the city of Alanya are related to the expenditures made by the business or the investment. It is possible to mention that improving the business and investment opportunities that foreigners residing in Alanya city can realize, will bring more economic contribution to Alanya city.
