Using close range laser scanning together with photogrammetry

ABSTRACT Photogratnmetry is a method that frequently used for 3D modelling for objects and laser scanning method is come out as an alternative method for modelling in last years. For laser scanning system, objects are get as 3D point clouds those have intensity data and after registration process, 3D model can be done. There are so many laser scannig systems and modelling software in the market. In first section, general characteristics of photogrammetry and laser scanning method have been explained and in the second section measurment technics of object has been discuss. In third section close range laser scanner systems and in forth section laser scanner software have been explained.In fifth section scanning process and in sixth section modelling by laser points have been discussed. For the application section, we took up two topics. First, bundle adjustment of close range images by using laser points as control points. We did this application on canteen entry of National Technical University of Athens.And other topic is filling holes for models those have been done by laser method by photogrammetric model.
