Abstract (EN)

Changes in climate are one of the significant problems of countries. With the pollution of air, water, and environment increasing, countries come together to make decisions for a more livable world. The built environment also has an impact on climate change experienced because of global warming. Green buildings started to emerge to minimize the impact of the built environment. Green buildings are structures that use raw material resources in a balanced way, aim to use renewable energy, use natural light and rainwater, and save for the investor in the long term. These structures are evaluated according to their design, operation, maintenance, and repair systems and certified according to their scores. In these certification systems, where green buildings are evaluated, the aim is; to ensure that constructions that do not harm the environment and people are built. In this thesis study, it was aimed to investigate materials and resources category of LEED, BREEAM, BEST certification systems, and the views in this field on the current situation in Turkey. The questions formed in this context were addressed to the people, who are doing green building consultancy in Turkey, and the replies were evaluated.
