Green supply chain variables and applications in Turkey; a research on perceptions of managers

Green supply chain (GSC) and green supply chain management (GSCM) concepts started to gain importance globally because of the depletion of natural resources, increasing frequency of global natural disasters, changing behaviours of consumers' purchasing behaviors etc. Green supply chain is a concept, which includes all activities of the enterprises that are designed to protect nature. The activities are analyzed in order to minimize or eliminate the harm to nature completely. Green supply chain management handles green supply chain concept from a managerial point of view. Turkish companies have to follow, learn and apply practises of these concepts. When we consider the internal dynamics of the companies, managers of these companies are the ones who will learn and execute these practises in the first place. While these practises are being implemented at the companies, the most important guide of a manager will be his/her natural perception of environment. Consequently; it is very important to find out what is the natural perception of environment of these managers. The purpose of this thesis is to uncover the natural environmental perceptions of managers who works at Turkish small and medium-sized companies.
