From Yesilcam to tv series

The purpose of this master thesis is to compare and examine Yesilcam, the concept used to refer Turkish cinema sector, and Turkish television series which are considered as the reflection of Yesilcam in terms of content, techniques and working conditions. In order to present a thorough analysis, some managers and set workers are chosen to be interviewed.After the literature review, it is found that most of the documentaries on this subject matter cover Yesilcam cinema sector. Therefore, believing that Turkish TV series are one of the major interests of Turkish audience, this documentary aims to cover Turkish TV series and Yesilcam together, and to contribute to the literature in this way. The main assumption of this study is to present that Yesilcam story-telling format and working conditions maintain in Turkish TV series.Key Words: Yesilcam, cinema, Turkish TV series, labor, operating conditions.
