The aim of this study was to examine the relationships between early maladaptive schemas, alexithymia levels and relationship satisfaction in adults. Relational screening model from quantitative research was used to determine the relationship between variables. To collect the data, demographic information form, Young Schema Scale Short Form 3, Toronto Alexithymia Scale and Relationship Satisfaction Scale were applied to the participants. The sample of the study consisted of 375 people between the ages of 18-65 who were in a relationship. According to the results of the study, a significant negative relationship was found between early maladaptive schemas and alexithymia and relationship satisfaction. There was a significant positive relationship between early maladaptive schemas and alexithymia. It was determined that alexithymia and early maladaptive schemas variables significantly predicted relationship satisfaction. When examining relationship satisfaction, alexithymia and early maladaptive schemas should not be ignored.
