Abstract (EN)

Institute Istanbul ISMEK (EII) provides learners with the opportunity to receive education on various subjects without time and location constraints through its distance learning platform. On this platform, the compliance of educational videos, especially for adults, with multimedia design principles is of great importance in order to provide an effective learning experience. The purpose of this study is to examine the compliance of the training videos prepared for adults within the Institute Istanbul ISMEK with multimedia design principles, which is one of the content preparation standards. Survey method, one of the descriptive research methods, was used in the study. The sample of the study consists of 64 training videos prepared for adults. In order to increase the reliability of the study, a second evaluator was used. The coefficient of agreement between the raters was calculated as 0.93 and this value shows that there is a very good level of agreement between the raters. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using the "Evaluation Table on Educational Multimedia Applications" selected to examine and interpret the current situation. The findings obtained from the research are presented with descriptive statistics such as percentage (%), number (N) and average. In the findings section, the names and numbers of educational videos in different fields are shown in tables. At the end of the study, suggestions were made for researchers who will conduct studies on the subject.
