Abstract (EN)

Today, as a result of globalization, information era and technological advances the market conditions are changing and inter-enterprise competition is increasing. In order for enterprises to catch up with competition they should invest in human being which is the most important element in creating difference. However, it was observed as a result of research carried out that successful enterprises make investments in human being.Human which is the most important element in terms of making difference, creates the difference by utilizing its competencies. Therefore, in recent years enterprises have been putting emphasis on competencies and using applications of competency-based human resources. Through these applications it was aimed to assign right employees into right jobs, to develop them and to possess devoted and contented workers.In such a period where applications of competency-based human resources are increased, to determine how failure to include competencies into processes has influenced employees and their level of content and what type of relationship was present between them was the main objective of our study.In the first part of study, the competency concept, its development, characteristics, types, benefits and areas of usage were scrutinized. In the second part generally performance evaluation concept was considered and also emphasis was placed on the issue of competency-based performance evaluation. In the third part the concept of employee satisfaction with its all aspects and its results took place. In the fourth part, place was given to applications work related to study and the results obtained are presented to assess.
