Abstract (EN)

Struggling to exist in the Balkans for a hundred years, Kosovo paid heavy prices for this cause and eventually gained its independence. In this process, the development of the Kosovo Theater is seen as an important issue discussed in recent years. One of the most important elements that provide unity and solidarity for Kosovars, who have been oppressed for many years, especially their national feelings, has been the field of culture and arts, especially theater. The Kosovo Theater, which featured national stories and heroes in its early stages, was shaped in the fight against German invasion, which they were also a part of, in the Tito period Yugoslavia, and in the following years, the aspirations of the Kosovo Albanians were returned. Kosovo Theater, which also includes universal subjects and works from the mentioned period, has gained a structure that gives unity and morale to the people in the difficult days after Tito's death. In this study, the works of Kosovo Theater will be discussed in the historical process and the role of Yeton Neziray in this process will be examined.
