The faktors which affect the employment of the qualified workers in the food & beverage enterprises: Sakarya example

This study aims at determining the factors affecting the employment of the qualified workers that are important in terms of the international and national development of the food-beverage sector and bringing suggestions for them. The interview study was applied in about 50 food-beverage enterprises which were selected by means of the sampling method in the food-beverage enterprises with 85 units having 50 and over cover charge capacity and operating in Sakarya at the point of helping to bring the present tourism potential to the sufficient level. 50 managers from the food-beverage enterprises participated in the interview performed. After analyzing the interview data by means of the percentage and frequency methods, the findings obtained are converted into tables and interpreted accordingly. There are 53 proposals in total 28 open, 7 closed and 18 closed likert scale in the interview as directed at determining the factors which affect the employment of qualified employees in the food-beverage enterprises. As the factors which influence the employment of the qualified employees in the foodbeverage enterprises in the research performed; wage, professional training, career, rewarding, daily working period, social security, experience, love for profession, development of the regional tourism, attraction of the Aegean-Mediterranean, Istanbul and the sales experience became important. T he importance of the employment of the qualified employees in the food-beverage enterprises will be understood much better in solving the problems of unemployment and bad economical conditions which became more severe every day with the influence of the global competition.
