Abstract (EN)

Objevtive: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the psychosocial care of nurses working in intensive care units and productivity. Material and Methods: The research was conducted in analytical cross-sectional type. The sample of the study consists of 128 intensive care nurses working in Aydın Adnan Menderes University hospital. The data of the study were collected with the personal information form Attitude Scale Towards Productivity and the Psychosocial Care Competency Self-Assessment Scale. The data obtained from the data collection forms used within the scope of the research were analyzed with the SPSS program. In order to determine which analysis method will be used in the study, normality analysis was performed and it was determined that the data showed normal distribution. In this context, independent sample t-test and ANOVA test were performed to determine the difference between the variables. In addition, in line with the ANOVA test results, Post-Hoc Tukey analysis was performed to determine which group was in favor of the differentiation in the groups with differences between them. In addition, Pearson Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between variables. The findings were evaluated at the 95% confidence interval and 5% significance level. In all tests, the p-value was found to be less than 0.05 for statistical significance (p<0.05). Results: As a result of the statistical analysis, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the marital status of the intensive care nurses, their satisfaction with being an intensive care nurse, their love for their profession, their age, income perceptions, seniority and the mean scores of the productivity attitude scale (p<0.05). In addition, it was determined that there was a significant difference between the mean scores of intensive care nurses' love for their profession, their income perceptions and the psychosocial care competency self-assessment scale (p<0.05). It was determined that there was a low positive significant relationship between the mean scores of the psychosocial care competency self-assessment scale and the mean scores of the efficiency attitude scale of the intensive care nurses participating in the study (p<0.05). Conclusion: In line with the findings, it was determined that there was a significant and positive relationship between the psychosocial care competency self-assessment levels and productivity attitude levels of intensive care nurses. On the basis of the results obtained, training programs for psychosocial care can be organized especially for nurses working in intensive care and their productivity can be increased.
