Özet (EN)

The purpose of this study was investigating the effect of parenteral Glutamine (Gln) supplementation on Endocan levels in patients with sepsis receiving parenteral nutrition (PN). In Gaziantep University Şahinbey Education Research and Practice Hospital Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation Intensive Care Clinic, a parenteral nutritional solution was initiated followed by sepsis diagnosis according to Sepsis-3 consensus criteria or developing sepsis diagnosis during follow-up and a total of 60 patients between 18-70 years old were included in the study.Patients randomly were divided into two groups according to standart parenteral nutrition (PN) and standartPN additionally the parenteral dipeptide Gln-Ala. The Gln-Ala dipeptide dosage was calculated to be 0.35 mg / kg. Demographic data, follow up 0 , 3 and 7th days values of Endocan, CRP, ESR, lactate and WBC of were recorded.APACHE II scores on patients recorded admission to intensive care unit and SOFA scores on days 0, 3 and 7th of follow-up. For patients included in the study 28-day follow-up predicted, patients who were discharged or exitus andpatients with septic shock recorded. In our study, there was no statistically significant difference between the Endocan values of patients receiving parenteral dipeptide Gln-Ala additionally the standard PN or standard PN(p>0,05). There was no significant difference in mortality and septic shock development rates between the two groups. As a result; no significant trend was identified for an effect of parenteral Gln supplementation in septic patients with PN on Endocan levels and mortality and septic shock development rates.
