Özet (EN)

The aim of this study was to determine the effects of yoghurt fermented diet on performance, fecal microbiota and ileum histology in male quails. 120 male quails were used in this study. Three treatment groups were confirmed in the study. Chicks were distributed to tree treatment groups and 10 chicks with equal body weights four replicates of each treatment groups. Treatment groups were 1) Control, 2) 5% fermented feed supplementation, 3) 10% fermented feed supplementation. In this study, 50x100x50cm floor-covered cages were used. Feed consumption (FC) and live weight gain (LWG) were weighed weekly and feed conversion ratio (FCR) were calculated. At the end of the study, there were no differences in performance parameters, internal organ development and fecal microbiota. The length and thickness of the villi and lamina muscularis mucosae in the Y1 group were statistically higher than the control group. As a result, it was determined that the addition of yoghurt fermented diet improves intestinal health and digestion by improving intestinal histomorphology in male quails without affected performance parameters and therefore, it was determined that yogurt fermented diet can be used as a probiotic source and alternative feed additive.
