Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted to determine hay yield and some quality properties of alfalfa of nitrogen and Sulphur fertilizer in 2015. Kayseri cultivar of alfalfa was used as plant material. In the study, 10 treatment were considered together with the control (Control, in autumn 2.5 kg/daN, 5.0 kg/da N, 2.7 kg/da S, 5.4 kg/da S, 2.5 kg/da N+2.7 kg/da S, 5.0 kg/da N+5.4 kg/da S, in autumn 2.5 kg/da N + in spring 2.5 kg/da N, in autumn 2.7 kg/da S + in spring 2.7 kg/da S, and in autumn (2.5 kg/da N+2.7 kg/da S) + in spring (2.5 kg/da N+2.7/da kg S)).Research was conducted as a randomized complete block design with 3 replicates. In this study, plant height, dry matter yield, crude protein content, crude protein yield, ADF, NDF, NYD and mineral content (Ca, Mg, P, K) in alfalfa. Plant height determined as four cutting mean ranged between 60.2 (control) – 63.9 cm (7 number treatment). Hay yield ranged between 924.2 (control) – 1103.8 kg/da (10 number treatment); crude protein content 22.50 % (7 number treatment) – 24.27 (10 number treatment); protein yield 205.8 (4 number treatment) – 265.0 kg/da (10 number treatment). ADF, NDF and NYD content was determined 31.63 – 33.86 %, 47.47 – 50.18 %, and 116.8 – 130.6, respectively. In the results of the study; it was found that application of 2.5 kg/da of nitrogen and 2.7 kg/da of sulfur in autumn and spring (10 number treatment) led to an increase in hay yield and quality.
