To determine the opinions of princials, teachers, and parents regarding to educational system of 4+4+4 (example of Istanbul / Bagcilar)

The purpose of this thesis is to determine the opinions of principals, teachers, and parents regarding to educational system in Turkey. In this study, the responses of principals, teachers, and parents have been investigated for the following question: "What is your opinion of new educational system of 4+4+4? " To achieve this goal, a survey was carried out, and the results of the survey were presented. As a descriptive study, this survey has been collected in variety of 54 schools, from the range of primary schools to high schools (including public and private schools) in city of Istanbul, Bagcilar District. In the study, principals' survey, teachers, and parents, prepared by the researcher, have been used to collect the data. The data that was used this study were collected by the responses of principals, teachers, and parents for the surveys. The study includes 6 survey measurements that comprise personal information and the changes in new educational system. These measurements are as follows: 1stgradeteacher, 1stgradeparent's, 5th Grade teacher, 5thgradeparent, primary school principal and middle school principal survey. The number of attendees of each survey are: 225 of 1stgradeteachers, 798 of 1stgradeparents, 317 of 5thgradeteachers, 711 of 5thgradeparents, 66 of primary school principals, and 62 of middle school principals. The analysis of the survey data has been done based on the responses of the attendees. Since the distribution of the data is not normally distributed, nonparametric statistical analysis is preferred. The validation and reliability of the measures have been calculated by "confirmatory factor analysis" and " Cronbach alpha'' methods, respectively.
