Abstract (EN)
Businesses are investing in executive development programs to compete internationally presently and in the future. In this way, the businesses think that they will make a difference with other firms in terms of developing their managers and increasing their profits. It is possible to say that the most important method used to develop managers is executive development programs. The primary part of executive development programs is to develop executive competencies. At the core of executive development, executive competence plays a major role. The work required to improve the manager's competencies; These are challenging managerial tasks to develop managers. In the studies carried out, it was stated that the challenging tasks given to the development of the managers were; There was a high positive relationship between learning orientation, access to highly developmental managerial assignments, managerial competencies and feedback. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect and relationship levels of these variables independently on managerial competencies The purpose of this study is; It is considered that it is important to investigate issues that may have an impact on executive competencies and to implement these in business life in our country. To summarize the findings of the research briefly; The concept of coercive tasks given to managers who can be measured by 10 factors in the literature has become measurable as 5 factors with the support of this study and other studies. It was concluded that the managerial competencies of the model could be analyzed with 3 factors. In addition, when the conceptual model was tested, it was found that the challenging tasks given to the managers had a strong positive effect on improving the managerial competencies. It was found that feedback and access to managerial tasks with developmental features improved executive competencies. It has been determined that the power of the managers who are focused on learning are more successful than other managers in developing their managerial competencies.
