Abstract (EN)
This study compares the resistance levels of managers and employees toward the use of Management Information Systems (MIS) and analyzes the underlying factors contributing to this resistance. The research examines the role of MIS in enhancing business processes, its impact on productivity, its strategic importance in digital transformation, and its function in information management. In the research, an online survey was applied to managers and employees working in the public and private sectors in Ankara on a voluntary basis. The collected data was analyzed using statistical methods. Thanks to this method, the data was evaluated more efficiently and effectively. According to research findings, managers exhibit significantly higher resistance to MIS compared to employees. The primary reasons for this resistance include concerns about loss of control in decision-making processes, lack of technological competence, and hesitancy toward organizational change. Employees, on the other hand, think that MIS eases their workload and provides efficiency by accelerating business processes. The findings of the study emphasize the importance of taking strategic steps such as continuous feedback collection, user training, personalization of the system and regular updates for the adoption of MIS across the organization. Specifically, increasing training programs for managers and making the system more user-friendly will be effective in reducing resistance levels. As a result, it was evaluated that it would be appropriate to take into account the needs of both managers and employees for the successful implementation of MIS.
