Abstract (EN)

When the quality and components affecting quality, which are the basis of Total Quality Management (TQM), are examined, it is evident that it is applicable within the structure of enterprises, private and public institutions. Management, manager, efficiency, and quality management have a significant role in access of customers to institutions? services. Institutions increase the level of their efficiency by formation of a quality management, and by targeting quality in customer satisfaction. The role of TQM, which is currently accepted with its success in application, in increase of efficiency of managers has been explained and examined together with the concepts of management, manager, efficiency, and quality. Within the scope of the thesis study, surveys related to total quality management were applied to managers, officiating at Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution for the purpose of determination of the role of TQM in increase of efficiency of managers. It was concluded that TQM was effective in terms of increase of efficiency of TQM managers. Furthermore in evaluations of managers on impact of TQM on their efficiency, it was determined on their ages, one of their demographic features and TQM quality culture factor that managers in the group of ages of 41-45 attached importance to quality culture more than managers, who were 46 and over, they had similar views to each other among all the other demographical features and factors, they attached equal importance.Key Words: Total Quality Management, Quality, Efficiency, Management, Manager
