Özet (EN)
It is obvious that workers? motivation is direct action factor on productivity. One of the most important effect on workers? motivation is managing manners. With reference to these facts, this study is done to determine managers? manners which effects teachers? motivation in positive and ?if there is ? negative direction, to make managing manners that improve motivation to come into prominence and to popularize by measuring teachers? motivation and gratitude levels. In this study, predicated on elementary and high school teachers? opinions, it is examined whether there is statistically significant difference between gratitude levels about managers? attitudes and motivation levels according to teachers? gender, age, field of study, seniority, marital status, educational level, working duration at school, manager?s personnel status. Descriptive scan model is used in the research. Total field under survey consist of 4237 teachers who works in 2012-2013 academic year at official 26 primary and secondary schools and 77 high schools that are under management of Ministry of Education, located in Kadıkoy district of Istanbul. Accordingly scales are applied to 308 teachers in total chosen from that field by random method.49-question Manager Behavioral Assessment Scale evolved by Gunduz (2009) is used to evaluate managers? attitudes. Scale is composed of 7 subdimensions as decision making, planning, organising, communication, coordinate, effect, assessment and 49 clauses. To evaluate motivation levels Motivation Level Specification Scale, composed of 18 clauses, again evolved by Gunduz (2009) is used. To analysis the input data, frequency and percent values of demographic features are examined by using SPSS 15.0 Package Programme; Independent Groups T Test is used to define whether points taken from scales differs or not as per teacher?s gender, marital status and field of study; in case there is significant difference according to this test, Levene Test is used to determine homogeneity of distribution; Tamhane?s Sheffe Test is used to specify in between which groups this difference occurs; also Kruskal Wallis-H Test is used as to whether points differ as per teacher?s age, education level and seniority; if there is significant difference in consequence of Kruskal Wallis-H Test analysis, Mann Whitney-U Test is done to determine between which groups it differs. ANOVA (Unidirectional Variance Analysis) is used to determine whether points differ as per teacher?s working duration at school; Mann Whitney U Test is used for defining if points differ or not as per manager?s personnel status; Pearson Moments Multiplication analysis is applied to establish if there is significant interrelation between Manager Attitude and Teachers? Motivation Level.Acquired datas are encoded in computer environment, are resolved in SPSS 15.0 Programme (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), significance is tested minimum at p<,05 level, other significance levels are specified separately and findings are presented in tables suitable for the purposes of survey. In research result, teacher?s gender, age, field of study, seniority, marital status, educational level, working duration at school and manager?s personnel status are not effective factors in Manager Behavioral Assessment Scale?s planning, organising, coordinate, effect, assessment subdimensions, but due to age, educational level, marital status, field of study and working duration at school significant differences are defined in decision making subdimension.Significant interrelation is determined between points taken from Planning, Organising, Communication, Coordinating, Effect and Assesments subdimensions of Manager Behavioral Assessment Scale and Motivation Level points. When points these are taken from these subdimensions increase motivation level points increase accordingly. No significant interrelation is defined between decision making subdimension of Manager Behavioral Assessment Scale points and motivation level points. At the end of research teacher?s gender and manager?s personnel status are established as non effective factors on creating significant difference in manager behaviours that teachers perceived and motivation levels.
