The examination of Rize folklore culture elements in terms of local cultural economies

With the industrial revolution, the cultural economy on a global scale has played an active role in the development and renewal of cities. On the other hand, it has become the elixir of the cultural assets of cities on a local scale. In the study, the cultural assets in the local memory with a wide distribution in Rize were tried to be analyzed by associating them with the concept of cultural economy. The study consists of introduction, first chapter, second chapter and conclusion. In the examination part of the study, cultural assets preserving their dynamism in Rize were identified, and these cultural assets were analyzed, grouped under four titles and evaluated. The conclusion reached in the study is that the cultural assets with their economic dimension were not damaged by the effect defined by the members of Frankfurt School. On the contrary, it increased their popularity with the effect of innovation and development and thus the region was valued by every visitor from any countries, and they were taken and moved with the power that the sense of belonging gave people. In recent years, the regulation of natural and cultural areas by the state, the development of the service understanding of the local business managers, and the establishment of accommodation and entertainment services that will appeal to every person has been the most important factor in cultural assets' acquiring an economic dimension and thus in the development of the city and its increasing in value.
