Abstract (EN)

In this study, the reassesment of schema domains in the context of individuals perceived parenting style and early maladaptive schemas were examined. The study group consists of 336 individuals, 185 women and 151 men. The age range of the participants is 17-63. Demographic Information Form (DIF), The Young Schema Questionnaire-Short Form 3 (YSQ-SF3) and Young Parenting Inventory (YPI) were used as data collection tools in the study. Multi Trait Multi Method Analysis was applied in Structural Equation Model to examine the effects of three factors, namely Young Parenting Scale mother form, father form and Young Schema Scale, on schema domains. In addition, the model accepted in the literature and the model that emerged with the data of this study were compared. Pearson Correlation was applied to examine the relationship between sub-dimensions. As a result of the analysis, it was found that early maladaptive schemas, perceived parenting style of the mother and perceived parenting style of the father significantly explained the four schema domains. (1) defectiveness, emotional inhibition, mistrust, emotional deprivation, pessimism, vulnerability, self punitivenes, abandonment in the domain of disconnection and rejection, (2) failure to archieve, dependence, insuficcient self control in the domain of impaired autonomy and performance (3) self sacrifice, subjugation, enmeshment in the domain of excessive responsibility and standards (4) entitiement, approval seeking, unrelenting standards in the domain of impaired limits.
